Light Market is South Africa’s trusted supplier of lighting, electrical, solar, and security products. We are a fast-growing, multi-branch retail and wholesale business with a strong online presence and in-house brands.

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to manage and grow our digital footprint across e-commerce, social media, and paid platforms. This role is ideal for someone hands-on, creative, and data-driven.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for executing and optimising digital marketing campaigns that drive traffic, engagement, and conversions across our online and in-store channels.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and optimise the Light Market website and online store
Plan, create, and schedule content for social media platforms
(Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn)
Set up, manage, and optimise paid advertising campaigns
(Google Ads, Meta Ads, social ads)
Create and manage email marketing campaigns and customer mailers
Track performance using analytics tools and provide regular reports
Support product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns
Ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms
Work closely with sales and operations teams to align campaigns with business goals

Requirements

Proven experience in digital marketing or e-commerce marketing
Strong understanding of social media platforms and paid advertising
Experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads, and advanced SEO principles
Ability to analyse data and optimise campaigns accordingly
Strong written communication and content creation skills
Experience with Shopify, email marketing tools, or design software is advantageous
Creative, confident, organised, and able to work independently
